Bill Utterback illustrated show posters for every Second City revue from the 1960s until his death in 2010. For their 60th Anniversary, we stripped the theater’s branding down and returned to the iconic, historic illustrations of some of the theater’s most notable alumni.

During the Summer, The Second City faces the challenge of trying to convince audiences to come enjoy some indoor fun! This campaign, mostly focused on OOH advertising placements (like bus and train stations), was a nice reminder that the theater is a fun place to escape the heat.

The Second City Toronto’s 2016 Mainstage show Come What Mayhem deftly skewered the urgency created by the 24/7 News Cycles that we’ve come to know. This art was used to advertise the show in various print and digital formats.
